Welcome to the STOP EPAs Campaign
Under the proposed EPAs, there will no longer be tariffs placed on EU goods into Africa. This means that governments will lose all the money they usually collect through import tariffs. Which means governments will have even less money to spend on health, social security and public services for the people.

Nairobi, Kenya - Today women in twelve African countries held various actions and concurrent press conferences. This took place a day before International Women's Day (IWD), to take a stand against the plan to sign Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) between African, Caribbean and Pacific Countries (ACP) and the European Union (EU).

WSF Participants Call On European Commission To Stop Unfair Trade Agreements (2007-06-21)
One day before the closure of the World Social Forum (WSF), hundreds of participants marched to the delegation of the European Commission in Kenya's Capital, Nairobi to deliver a memorandum endorsed by over 30,000 citizens. The memorandum demands that the European Commission (EC) stops negotiating Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) with African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP).
